The Tamagotchi Classic app, a recreation of the original 1997 toy, will officially be taken off the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android devices on July 17, 2019. While the app only had limited features, it also retailed for a paltry $0.99.
The official statement posted to the app’s description simply reads:
NOTE: This application will be removed from the store and unable to be downloaded, as of July 17, 2019. ※Support for this application will be terminated.
We highly recommend that any Tamagotchi fans who haven’t added this app to their collection, and think it looks like its worth playing, buy it before it’s gone forever!
